Organisational Size as a Moderator of the Culture-Effectiveness Relationship: The Case of the Private Sector in Iran

By investigating the role of size in this relationship, the researchers aim to shed light on managing organisational culture and effectiveness. This research begins from a literature review of studies on organisational culture and organisational effectiveness. A seven point Likert scale questionnaire was developed. After pre-testing using cognitive interview techniques, it was sent to 1000 managers of 40 organisations using the convenience sampling method. The 353 usable responses were subjected to factor analysis, correlation, regression and multi regression analysis. Analysis of the data confirmed that there is a relationship between organisational culture and organisational effectiveness. However, this relationship varies according to organisational culture type.
